My name is Julie. I own and operate Normaneek Bakery: a home bakery located in College Grove, Tennessee. We focus exclusively on decorated sugar cookies with cookie sets and custom orders for our friends throughout Tennessee.
For our story, let’s rewind a bit - shall we?
The year is 2017. I have an accounting job and need an outlet to be creative and bring joy to the world. Blue Jinx Bakery starts up from my home in Austin, TX. I make quite the hobby of custom cookies and mini cupcakes.
The year is 2020. The pandemic hits, and my husband and I move to California to help launch and run a legal tech business and community with my siblings.
The year is 2023. My husband and I find our dream home in Tennessee - a 1920s farmhouse with an 800 square foot barn. We move back to my husband’s home state. We become homeowners. We get chickens. We dream of homesteading. We crave a simpler life.
The year is 2024. I leave my family business and re-open my home bakery in Tennessee, now named Normaneek after our OG doggies (Norman and Nikko). The barn? Dreams of renovation for my home bakery and a space to host decorating classes, small-scale events, and retreats.
